hello! i am back. i think sal has forgotten that this is actually a SHARED blog. i'll remind her tomorrow. and then she'll have to blog(: don't worry, you can talk about your trip to thailand. [cue excited squeals from happy hiew, which is me. heh.] and tell everyone how hiew bugged you to buy lots of sesame street shirts but in the end you couldn't find any cos the current trend was popeye :/ yucks, now i don't have any nice elmo and oscar shirts -stares. anyhow, thailand rocks doesn't it? yes, of course it does. cos hahaha it's a secret ;)

school has been okay, usual squabbles and all but generally everything's fine. i think aesthetics is pretty boring. haha spoon's lessons always seem to pass by very fast now. that's good! today we had a talk about sec 3 subject combinations in the hall. can everyone tag to tell me what they're gonna take? hahaha. unfortunately we do not have a CHOICE in deciding whether to take chinese and maths bcos we HAVE to take them. they're compulsory. damn sad:(

i hope i get a good class next year, hoho. we were also briefed on A-level subjects. sheesh. music's counted as one of the 4 subjects. how interesting and i hope the teacher is nicer than HER :D guess what cca i wanna join in rj? come on, guess!

CANOEING! whoopdeedoo it's fun, row here row there. hahahaha i might get in so im gonna try. but none of my friends seem interested! why. boohoo. never mind, i hope there are utt-lookalikes. or edison chen lookalikes. that will be beautiful :) hahaha im crazy huh. i wrote 'edison' on my leg today during CLE and si ning looked on interestedly.

i don't see what's so bad about chinese actors. why is it that so many people have something against them! it's not very fair to them. they aren't ugly, you know :/ pls open your eyes and look carefully. they can act pretty well, in case you've never watched chinese movies before :( never mind, you can just go look at EDISON and your perception of them will change forever. ahh, edi edi edi :) sal, don't scold me for liking him, it's just that you haven't learnt how to appreciate the opposite gender yet but you will soon! mwaahahah.

okok i put this here cos the pic is the exact same pic as the one on the cover of one of the chinese books im doing for the reading assignment! but the guy isn't as nice as the SEVEN ELEVEN book guy. he was carrying beard papa for the girl ok! how sweet:) nice right, if a guy bought you custard puffs. whoohoo im hungry now.

i wanna watch initial d. fang has watched it already and she says it's good. i like edison chen, he's much better than the rest of the cast. hahaha. a lot like love looks so cute. especially the picture in which amanda peet puckers up her lips, she kinda looks like a pufferfish but a cute one X) shall i drag my long-suffering korkor out to watch it with me? hah. just joking.

this holidays has been fun overall. saw lots of my friends so that's great. shopped a bit, watched some movies, ate the wonderful sakae buffet where crystal spat her udon everywhere. lol! but what happened to the 'no holiday homework' policy? ri really has no homework ok, our school promised us the same thing but knowing them, it was too good to be true and we're stuck with work anyway. when we go back, there's a new geog PT going to be assigned to us. ooh jump for joy! :/ anyway im one of the uhh, least clever in the whole level. enyuan didn't believe me when i told her but it's true and i wouldn't lie ok. yeah i shouldn't complain. but really, i see no point in doing homework. hahaha that sounds horrible. i'd ever thought of changing school. heh does that sound surprising? yes right, giving that i seem so happy and optimistic most of the time. but where can i go? which school would take me?

no offence to anyone who might be pissed when they read the following.

nygh is out of the question cos i was posted there but came out :( scgs, no comments. no offence to scgs girls but i'd rather not go there at all. can you imagine if i go back to mgs? [from this point onwards, my mgs friends, you might prefer not to read but i bet you will anyway] firstly, i don't think they'll take me back. i will get a lecture about the whole loyalty to school issue, why i left and now am begging them to take me back. secondly, the girls there might think im some horrid traitor who's back and they'll ignore me and my life there wouldn't be happy either. sure, the work will be easier and my grades will be better, but come on, i've never been one to really care about marks. A+, A, A-, i don't bother much. thirdly, okay i admit im not very proud but i do have SOME ego and i think if i go back my ego will deflate like a balloon which has just had a pin stuck into it. i'll walk around with a paper bag over my face with two holes for eyes. im sorry but i really feel that way.

im sorry to any rg friends who are currently feeling stressed/worried for making you even more stressed now. but surely some of you feel the same way i do? our school is a good school. ok fine, i'll do them some justice, it's a very good school. but what really is important in life is happiness, love, friendship. where is the love? haven't they heard the saying love makes the world go round. ok im sorry if this in incoherent but whatever. without love and peace, we will be nothing. who cares if you are a scientific genius, a well-known doctor, an excellent lawyer? these pple ARE great, smart and whatnot. but if they do not know how to love and don't have an ounce of kindness in their bones, are they truly successful? yup so i think mother teresa is the best nobel prize winner in history. she got the PEACE AWARD. hah and that's so much more valuable. proves that you don't have so be super smart to be known for your good deeds.

NO HOLIDAY HOMEWORK. hahahaha okay enough i better stop shooting my mouth off. god, i don't know why you want me to carry this load. i can see no good in it and it's awfully heavy. but, if you want me to carry it, i will (:

the sch nats programme sucks ok. C div 100 free is like, ugh, it's superbly annoying ok, to know that the usually-popular events this year are so much easier to win in. the second placed time is 1.06! i almost shouted at the screen when i saw. and B div seems worse this year. ok never mind, i'll try hard then. -growls. sorry im feeling quite frustrated now. i hope ongong remembers her promise to put me in the free relay :/ geez. i need southzone colours. I NEED IT. gahhs. that means i have to try to get 2nd for 200im. yiqing deer, help me! korkor, save me! what crap. my backstroke leg sucks. ~~korkor can do 35, arrgh he's so fast, can't he give me his speed!~~ okay i'll be positive, i will make sure i do well on that day and i will GET 2ND. hahaha. and i shall just pray about it. haha yes.

The Ant And The Contact Lens
a true story by Josh and Karen Zarandona

Brenda was a young woman who was invited to go rock climbing. Although she was very scared, she went with her group to a tremendous granite cliff. In spite of her fear, she put on her gear, took a hold on the rope, and started up the face of that rock.

Well, she got to a ledge where she could take a breather. As she was hanging on there, the safety rope snapped against Brenda's eye and knocked out her contact lens.

Well, here she is, on a rock ledge, with hundreds of feets below her and hundreds of feets above her. Of course she looked and looked and looked, hoping it had landed on the ledge, but it just wasn't there.

Here she was, far from home, her sight now blurry. She was desperate and began to get upset, so she prayed to the Lord to help her to find it.

When she got to the top, a friend examined her eye and her clothing for the lens, but there was on contact lens to be found. She sat down, despondent, with the rest of the party, waiting for the rest of them to make it up the face of the cliff.

She looked out acorss range after range of mountains, thinking of that verse that says,"The eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the world earth."

She thought, 'Lord, You can see all these mountains. You know every stone and leaf, and You know exactly where my contact lens is. Please help me.'

Finally, they walked down the trail to the bottom. At the bottom there was a new party of climbers just starting up the face of the cliff. One of them shouted out,"Hey, you guys! Anybody lost a contact lens?"

Well, that would be startling enough, but you know why the climber saw it? An ant was moving slowly across the face of the rock, carrying it on its back.

Brenda told me that her father is a cartoonist. When she told him the incredible story of the ant, the prayer, and the contact lens, he drew a picture of an ant lugging that contact lens with the words, "Lord, I don`t know why You want me to carry this thing. I can`t eat it, and it`s awfully heavy. But if this is what You want me to do, I'll carry it for You."

I think it would probably do some of us good to occasionally say, "God, I don't know why You want me to carry this load. I can see no good in it and it's awfully heavy. But, if You want me to carry it, I will."

my events were bad, timings bad, but what's new? haha. how am i going to swim 100 fly at school nats, i think im gonna die. this morning my time was poop. in the evening it was abit better i guess. 1.11/12, i couldn't really see. hoho the time sucks doesn't it. anyway i still lost to her and im gonna accept the fact that im gonna lose to her everytime from now onwards.

i cannot sprint, i must be getting old. HAH. ohwell im gonna come up with a new plan. heh ok byebye.

had morning trg at sports school yesterday morning. thanks to aunty liana, nigel's mom, for sending me there! :) the water is cold but i quite like it. ss is so big it makes rg look extremely tiny. i think their track area is as big as my school itself :/ ok im exaggerating, but yeah, i guess you can tell that it's kinda huge. saw kat, khoonnie, yiqing and kor. heh how nice.

after trg, yiqing, mylene, edith, ben kheng, rich, hongkoon and desmond and i went to causeway point for lunch. the guys were really noisy trying to hail a cab -_-" in the end we took a bus there. ate at mos burger, not bad. took mrt home. the ride was fun huh :) i went for afternoon trg too. heh, sherlynn and i bought cookies. yay.

im really tired today. hmph. trained twice and morning stroke check was tiring. in the afternoon i had no water feeling and couldn't swim properly :( did 1.04 for 100 free. isn't that bad. never mind, hope i can still do fine for sg open. yup. byebye.

SAL! did you get any popeye shirts instead? i forgot that time when you told me. sorry :D

hahaha today was fun:) i met izzy and crystal at orchard mrt at 12pm and we walked around cd-rama for abit. fanglin refused to pick up her phone for some reason and we had a really hard time trying to contact her to ask her where she was. she kept messaging back, "im at the bank! opposite! no, across!" something like that :/ finally met her at wisma atria's topshop. didn't do much there.

went to taka after that. i bought beard papa's custard puff 0:) it rocks! we bought donuts too. but i lost one of my donuts at cine while playing the air hockey thing. ugh, how dumb of me. im sure sal will agree. anyway, crys and i beat fang and izzy for one of the games! yay. we were jumping around and cheering. heehee. but i think the arcade is boring.

we wanted to eat the sakae buffet but since it was only from 3-6pm, we crossed over to heeren first. we had 1 hour to kill which we spent wandering aimlessly. at one point, crys and izzy were tired so they went down to the fountain area to rest. and crys was doing something really funny, right fang? if you'd looked from our angle, it'd be funny :D

im very blur. i walked past fiona xie and kym ng without even realising who they were. i think they were filming something for a show but fang and i just brushed past so i hope we didn't mess anything up. hahha. izzy was really excited and she wanted to take a pic with fiona xie but in the end she didn't dare to ask her. lol.

the sakae buffet was really worth it! fang kept trying to advertise for it. we were the noisiest table cos we kept laughing :( while we were eating our udon, crys was either laughing/choking and she suddenly spat everything out and i mean EVERYTHING. the soup all got onto poor fang's face and she was really disgusted. she claimed that used up alot of tissue today. izzy ordered the green beans and she was peeling the skin when fang said, "eeuw, how come there seemed to be a bean bouncing on the table? izzy, did you spit it out?" and i laughed like some crazy person. they didn't have the lava brownie ice cream. isn't that sad -frowns. each of us paid about $16 each, including gst and service charge and all that. but it's still not that bad:)

decided not to go to suntec after all as it wouldn't be worth the travelling time. ~~no candy empire :(:(:(~~ never mind, some other time! heh. took a bus down to plaza sing instead. and we went to try the neoprint machine that izzy liked alot cos it was big and there were bars to hang on. sorry about the, uhh, stinky shoe incident :/ we were holding the bars and suddenly the screens came down and all of them hit only fang XD she was so unlucky. screen after screen all hit her head. aiyo. the decorating time was quite short and some were real messy but they turned out nice after all :D

then i went back. thanks crystal, fang and izzy for the fun day we had :) next time we have another i will help to plan and not be lazy. hehe.

hahaha so im more right brained, huh? im so NOT left brained. i don't pay much attention to details, i am very very bad at both maths and logic. but i like reading and quiet, sometimes. it's peaceful and you can just get away from it all:) if you know what i mean. heh. i like brownie! hahaa it's my cousin's dog. super cute, yes(: and i thought i was not bad at persuading pple. like how i bugged crys and fang to change our outing date to thursday -winks.

i have a talent for drawing cute little cartoons like smiley faces and mushrooms. ok haha. philo is nice actually:) i like dreaming alot but now ULP -looks at kat :/

hello(: hahah sal's back from thailand! THAILAND. heehee, i should have told her about my funny dream. right, kat? then maybe she could help me with a little, uhh, spotting. never mind, maybe i'll get a chance to do it myself. kat agreed to be my personal assistant:)

trg this morning was cancelled. haha! crystal has watched almost every single movie out already, i think. she caught 'mr and mrs smith' on the day it opened so now we have no movie to watch next thursday:( all the other movies don't sound very nice. i've decided that i like my multicouloured slippers very much. they're so nice. hahaha and the best part is there are many colours :D ok not that many but still. im bored now. let me name what colours there are, shall we?

hahaha i wanted to put the matching coloured fonts for the specific colours but i find that the device which you can change your font colour is gone. so i'll have to stick to boring black. boos, sad. hmm what is there to blog.

yesterday i called izzy to tell her about next thursday and when i mentioned 'shopping', she squealed, "NO! that's only for bimbos!" pls, izzy :/ you used to like shopping more than fang, crys and me. heh. and someone who likes shopping is not necessarily a bimbo. anyway, candy empire! wheehee. thanks to crys and fang for planning, greatly apperciated by the lazy me :) sorry that i didnt help this time yeah? and i don't wanna go cycling, cos firstly there is not much space around fang's neighbourhood, and secondly i CAN'T exactly cycle. ok this is quite embarrassing but it's true. hahahaha we can play badminton at izzy's request. and get the shuttlecock stuck up the tree! -sticks out tongue. and i almost got stuck too. HAHAHA. these 3 are such fun friends :D crystal, are you happy now? hee.

i would like to thank fanglin and crystal for planning the next outing. and for letting us have it on THURSDAY:) hahah. thanks alot!

watched monster-in-law with my cousin yesterday. it was funny. i still dont like jlo. but jane fonda was hilarious. i wonder why jennifer garner broke up with michael vartan and went for ben affleck instead. yucks.

today i went for flag day with lynette, si ning, ck, sorna and chewmin. hahah it was quite fun! but i am never going to sign up for amazing race or some game show of that sort. today was already too tiring for me. reached raffles place mrt at 7.30a.m. ugh, and i thought i could sleep in on wednesday mornings cos there's no trg. crystal cockroach coolie chengteng kindly let me stay with her until i spotted the others from my class:) thanks.

walked around for quite long before we met the person in charge. she's nice:) si ning and i went to tanjong pagar. sorn, ck, chew and lynette went to buona vista. hmm. i managed to sell about 130 flags. haha. thats quite good right? some pple are mean. ahaha. go to ck's blog for details.

hahaa. we ate alot too :D lunch was with chew and lynette. the prawn mee wasn't that nice huh. and chew's fish noodle soup tasted weird :/ then i found an underpass from suntec to millenia walk! so we trooped over to my favourite store in the world. candy empire! ohh i LOVE candy empire. they have all kinds of sweets and candies from all around the world. then there's a special section for chocolates and chips and there's a candy counter. lots of wonka sweets! whoopeee. plus one kids section where they have lots of starbursts sweets! i went crazy there, looking at all the lovely starbursts and trying to decide which one to buy. in the end i bought the fruitilicious kind for $4.80. quite expensive but i dont care:) is that how it's spelt? i forgot. and it was supersuper nice (: anyway, i couldn't possible have walked into the shop without buying anything. that would've been such a pity. come all the way for nothing.

to all those pple going for flag day: don't try to get donations at the overhead bridge at suntec. the pple there don't donate at all. hmph. after waiting there for awhile sining and i changed location. so now i have 26 CIP hours already! yay. plus last year's. i want 4 more hours by the end of the hols. so it'll be 30:) ahaah. maybe i can ask chew to come with me to help out at alexandra hospital cos her mom works there. yup. i'll call her.

there's eye for a guy tonight. go wolfgang! :) dunno why so many of my classmates prefer howard. hahaha never mind. anyway, shan's gone. how sad :( jeff is out! hooray. i do hope sal remembered to buy my sesame street t-shirts.

SAL! i changed our template back to the beary one cos i loved it too much :) anyway for the rainbow template, the tagboard was way too small. i didnt like it. anyway dont you think the bear's head shape is like a mushroom? like mine. hahahaha.

hmm. sal's in thailand and she's coming back this friday. i told her the stuff in bangkok was all very cheap. now she has to buy me sesame street t-shirts. the ones with the big faces. they're so cute :D and you know how she wants me to pay her back for her kindness? she wants me to treat her to fish and co, then buy her donuts after tht :/

anyway kor and kat came back today. we had a nice gruelling round of sms tennis. err, if you dont know what that means, never mind. singapore won at sea age! congrats to everyone who won medals there:) anyway today's boring. i went trg twice. and im not going tomorrow afternoon. heh im gonna rest. im tired. nothing to blog about today. byebye then.

boo everyone im so bored now. anyway i wanna watch triple nine:) but i cant watch it today. so if i watch it tomorrow i'll have to skip afternoon trg. but i like friday's trg. ohwell. guess im swimming in spore open. yay. kinda happy about it. yiqing, we can swim together now! (: taking only 3 events. it's 5 bucks per event. how sad.

hah im starting to think twice about my choice of school nats events. i like 200im, so that one's fine(: but 100 fly! arrgh i am gonna die lah. i hate trg for fly. it's so boring and tiring and whatnot. but i dont think i'd do well in any other event, would i. so 100 fly it is. geez, i know i wont win for that. there is already yingfen, ting and hamster :( and valerie! booooes help me. but since i can do about 1.10/11 for the hipop meets [as in, i do fly for medley relay. heh.], and it's without tapering, i guess i can do a sub 1.10 for school nats huh? hope so. aiya, if i get into the top 5 positions i'll be happy enough. :) i should. hahaha. i think i will. i can do it! yay. I MUST, I MUST ;) ahem, and hopefully the others dont improve fast. lol i sound so mean. ok, im sorry. but i need need need need need southzone colours this year! it's my only year with a good chance.

anyway, had chicken rice for lunch with my parents. it was nice :D

found out from yiqing that the pple in brunei are coming back next monday! whoopee. kat and kor will be back. but sadly i cant put our good plan into action. cos someone changed his mind at the last minute -frowns.

taking a long break now so i did this quiz. hahahah guess im not very sinful. except that maybe i love food therefore the gluttony category's percentage was quite high(: alot of pple will probably get very high for that one too so i dont care. i love food too much to care. sloth is 40%. ohdearme, does that imply that im lazy? but im not. geez. 0% for envy, greed, lust, pride and wrath? hahahah. can't believe it. it's good anyhow :) now i know i have 2 deadly sins. hehe.

went morning trg and then outing with fanglin today! :D crystal was supposed to come but she fell sick last week and hasnt recovered yet. get well soon, crispy cockroach coolie chenteng chng!:) we watched madagascar at bugis junction. hahahah it was quite funny but very short. i seemed to be the only one laughing at some parts :/ i liked the hippo alot! she was so cute. and so were the penguins. they were all sunburnt at the end(: but the movie was too short. it's only about 1 hour 20 mins. we went in abit late so we watched like 10 mins less! booo.

then we bought cookie mix at coldstorage and i made fang try the beard papa's cream puff. it's heaven, i tell you. the cream totally rocks 0:) we ate at fish and co for lunch! yay! but our waitress thought i was a 12-year-old kid, or so fang says. hahaha but it was funny.

watched tv and baked at fang's house. triple nine is a nice police show. i guessed who the murderer was before the detective on tv did! lol(: we baked only the brownies, which were quite nice. fang couldnt crack the eggs properly. heh :P guess where we had dinner? csc! yeah i thought we were going to parkway but since her mom is a member we just went there. her mom suggested. anyway didnt see anyone i knew there. oh except sarah lai (: the prawn dumpling thingo was not bad. i thought i saw lychee there but i think it wasnt her after all. kor wasn't there. aww sad :( just kidding.

thanks for letting me come to your house, fang! next time make sure crys comes too :)

ahahaha. what else. oh, good luck to all the sea age pple :) especially kat and korkor! too bad i cant put our clever plan into action anymore huh, kor. all cos you're too fickle. sigh :/ i wish i were goign too. lol. dumb injury. maybe i'd have qualified if i weren't injured. nevermind, shall work even harder for next year:) see, positive thinking does wonders for your mind. alright. im saying bye to them now. i feel so sad :( heh. hope this 1 week passes by quickly! then we can go out. haha. im happy :D happy things are happening. does that make sense?
