sexyalan concert was good and li chuanyun concert was even better. li chuanyun is so super pro, he had 3 encores and the last piece was super goooood! :D go syo! i thought we did pretty well, seriously. better than last year. most people said they enjoyed it yayyzz.

post-concert was fun (: the raffles people went off to starbucks at city hall and the hwachong people went somewhere else. joanne let me try her ice-blended drink thing and it was horrible cos i can't take coffee at all so i felt like someone shoved a stink up my nose. but the milkshake from cartel wasn't much better. it was only a teeny bit better cos i didn't contain coffee. shrugs.

mr lim gave us an extra rehearsal off (: we were supposed to have 3 rehearsals off but he gave us 4! rockkks.

look! all-boys japanese cheerleading squad! hahaha they are so kawaiiiii :D

dearest chaoying,

if i could play as well as liszt could, let me tell you something.

I WOULD HAVE QUIT SCHOOL LONG AGO TO JUST PLAY PIANO AND PERFORM AND EARN LOTS OF MONEY FOR ALL MY SOLD-OUT CONCERTS FOR MY ENTIRE LIFE.

(which really doesn't sound like such a bad thing seeing that i enjoy it so much anyway. i mean, it's better than learning about how much heat an object contains zzz)

quick update before i go back to chem ):

it's the end of learning journey week, boohoo. the school should organise more of these outings so we won't have normal lessons. heh.

this week's going to be psuedo-madness, what with SYO rehearsals every day for concert on 29th/30th march and i foresee myself sleeping rather late every night. im so glad concert falls after science exams. after friday i will be more free.. anyway i shall do some advertising here.

HI EVERYONE, SEXY ALAN CHOO WILL BE PLAYING TZIGANE BY RAVEL ON 29TH MARCH, HE IS GOOOOD SO PLEASE COME AND SUPPORT! TIX GOING AT $8 ONLY (i know, so cheap right!)! DON'T BUY YOU DIE!

and li chuanyun, this pro chinese violinist who graduated from the juilliard school of music in new york (the school's damn good and it's not easy to get a place there at all!), will be playing bruch's scottish fantasy and sarasate's gypsy airs on 30th march! both pieces are really famous and great to listen to so if you like good music, then you should come :D

first thing to do after science eoi's is to get rid of the horrible insect bites on my right leg. and i will attempt to eat one whole carl's junior burger by myself, which i think i might not be able to but i have been trying. haha what a great ambition.

okay i love sea cucumbers, they're fascinating (:

i need to finish drawing my new design for ss pt! i think it'll look quite funny but i don't know how to draw the ____ president's faceeee. and i need to revise trigo ): i think i will enlist the help of GERM THE GENIUS WORM cos she's the only one who can teach me trigo and help me get full marks hahaha remember the review test? ;) yeahyeah she's my favourite maths teacher in the whole world! and she insists that her maths is very lousy but no one should listen to her occasional whinings. "hiewwww... my maths is very lousy. i got this question WRONG! why did i get it WRONG? i shouldn't get it wrong! i can't do it! my maths sucks! noooo" hehe xD

tioman was fun! :D

i have like 20 pages of reflections/journals/scribblings/drawings of different species etc! haha. but the notebook i used wasn't a big one, it was a 12cm x 12cm kind? haha so not that big.

we stayed at melina beach resort and it rocks knowing that every morning you can walk less than 100m and you'll be at the beach. singapore is seriously lacking in pretty beaches. ok i haven't been to sentosa for really long but from what i remember, it wasn't that great. melina beach is so preeeeeeety and they have such interesting creatures on the seashore :D that's why the seashore survey was fun haha.

snorkelling was <333! though the water was freezing cold, it was a really fun way to learn about different marine species up close. marine biology is fun! i hope that i can do PW on growth/behaviour of sea cucumbers or smth like that when im in jc :D haha chao was scared of the sea cucumbers! we snorkelled in a mangrove too and the water was really clear. there were tiny crabs crawling up the branches. cute!

btw our group was called SEA CUCUMBERS. hahaha.

rainforest trek was -.-" we were all dying cos it was so humid and we'd have to stop every 5 minutes to look at a different kind of plant/animal. but the knowledge we gained was worth the stinky trek.

the food at the resort was really fresh and yummy (: chao loved the BEEF and fish, haha. we ate SO MUCH, like 3 servings per meal! it was buffet style and once i went back 4 times to refill my plate. urgh we're such pigs.

oh yeah we had a BONFIRE on the last night! :D haha my virgin bonfire experience. wheeee we roasted marshmallows over the fire. it was so hot but fun. i hope i'll get to experience more bonfire parties, like maybe at ________! hahah that's for me to know and you to find out. try finding out which university has a bonfire party whenever they beat harvard and yale for soccer in the same season :D haha.

the company on the trip was great. my roomates were chao, jianghe, limin and jessica. haha we had so much fun talking every night, especially on the last night :D THANKS FOR THE FUN! love ya'll! i remember the stinky eggs. yuck. and all the sand on the mattress! haha and how we would scream at the random bugs that flew into the room. haha.

tioman was fun! (: im glad i went.

now it's back to studying and piano and maybe some trg hahaha. hmmm.

2) slightly more than a week to physics EOI. boring nehhz.
3) slightly more than a week to biology EOI.. but i like bio so it's ok (:
4) 2 more weeks to maths sa2
5) 2 more weeks to syo concert
6) 3 more weeks to ss pt deadline. but i've finished drafting everything so should be okay.
7) 5 more weeks to rs presentation
8) 3 more months to school nats. CAN'T WAIT.
9) less than 6 months to piano exam

so ironic how i bolded the one with the most time left. ohwell, i guess it shows where my priorities for this year lie... or rather, where they SHOULD lie.

anyway ck thinks ryosuke has weird eyebrows.. bleah he's so cute.

learning journey week is here! yay :D slackfest! not really but whooooohoooooo. we should be thankful that we can take a break from normal lessons.

FIGHTING SPIRIT OF DONG BANG (: my favourite-est dbsk song of all time. it's even better than rising sun! this is the song that korea sent in for the world cup last year and it's awesomeeeee.

which reminds me, their 2nd jap album came out yesterday! 14th march! ahhhhhhh i shall go and get the songs soon (: i know i won't be disappointed.

you know what! i think im really crazy! i have to listen to dbsk songs before i sleep every night :/ but they make me happy and i can sleep well after that so who cares! haha :D

yes serenehiew is not emo! (thought she has definitely become more emo this year) serenehiew will be happy with whatever comes her way :D no matter how horrible it is! but serenehiew cannot possibly be happy with everything, so there will be some exceptions like swimming. i mean, it's awful and i hate it and no one can do anything about it so there.

serenehiew thinks she needs to lose weight but she is still happy with the way she is, or she will try to be :D

oh i have to practice piano every day of the hols and learning journey week that im back from tioman. haha it was funzorz.

serenehiew shall be happy that she can play the piano and she will work hard and do well for her exam (: serenehiew is pissed about the new seating arrangement for YO, if it is confirmed! she cannot stand _____ sitting in front of her.

serenehiew is grateful that she had the change to go for the tioman trip (: and serenehiew is glad that in jc she can drop physics and focus on bio! serenehiew likes bio and thinks she will study for bio eoi tmrw. and since she likes to think that this year she should fit the image of a hardworking nerd, she might perhaps make a trip down to school to borrow chemistry books from the library. well, since what they are testing us is supposedly A-level stuff and her current textbook at home doesn't have anything like that.

haha i know you all must think im some superly enthusiastic freak who sounds so happy! :D but i am happy and i don't know why im so weird in the sense that i find things to be annoyed about every single day but i hardly ever find things to be sad about. wheee.

im happy bcos i have God and my God is good! :D He has given me everything i need and more so i must be thankful.

every blessing You pour out i'll turn back to praise! :D

i suddenly want to go and do CIP :/ but before that, KAT you know what, i have an image of myself standing along shenton way in uniform begging people to do surveys and using my wonderful persuasive powers on them to fill up stupid questions. anyway i am going to call segarra tmrw morning.

i realised that i forgot to blog about my birthday! haha IT WAS FUN (:

thanks mama and papa for the yummy dinner at waraku <333 there's a central mall that is located across clarke quay and it is REALLY FABULOUS cos it's jap-themed! they have lots of jap shops and cute stuff :D jap stuff is expensive but i still love it. there is a restaurant on the 4th level specialising in ramen dishes! haha lovelove. and japanese ice-cream is so yummyyy. we bought ice-cream and hokkaido hot balls from azabu sweets! wahhhh it's super goooood! they have an outlet as marina square too, everyone go and buy their desserts! they're a little overpriced but much better than the usual ice-cream you get (:

even though my grandma is getting old, she still remembers my birthday every year (: i think that's really sweet haha. she gave me an angpow! im gonna save my money in my bank account and watch myself get rich haha.

thanks vivien chao and germ for the lunch at village (: we ate so much urgh. and it's fun to suan chao.

and everyone else who wished me a happy birthday! meant a lot to me. THANKS I LOVE YOU ALL!

this week was rushed but im glad God helped me live through it! :D chem spa wasn't great but im glad my steps for the planning section were okay... i think. haha. everyone said it was hard so if the whole level thinks it's hard, then that should give us all some sense of comfort (:

for the last 2 weeks, the earliest i have been getting home from school is 4pm... baah >.< nvm it will help me get used to life in jc haha.

i finished my philo FA! haha oh yay. and syo assessment was gross cos i went in with all the new people who kept rushing. but i'll still be able to sit at 4th desk at the very least though obviously i want to move up soon, lol. sexxy ditched me for ____ last week and i must get my REVENGE! haha.

we're leaving for tioman this sunday, which is TOMORROW :O time flies.

i wonder if it is valid to use 'MY BIRTHDAY' as an excuse NOT to attend a meeting

and of course i know that even if i wanted to use that excuse my mom wouldn't let me. hah. i mean, i thought i could come home early for once in like 2 weeks and on my birthday too. sheesh.

i can't find dbsk's 1st japanese cd 'heart, mind and soul' in hmv. sadness. i hope they stock the 2nd japanese cd! 5 IN BLACK! :D or smth along those lines. it sounds very backstreet boyish. haha.

okay i will come up with a birthday wishlist since tmrw is a special day :D heehee.

1) JAPAN WORMMMM (this is reserved for fanglin/crystal cos they said they'd get it long ago hahaha and i'll get nice presents for you both as well okay!)
2) green pencil case with dancing monkeys on it from a&bc! i will use it in jc.
3) squishy pillows which will help me sleep better :D
4) dbsk cd's! haha just kidding.

actually... ANYTHING will do. it's the thought that counts (: though i really like the japan worm! haha.

i have not listened to english songs in the LONGEST TIME.

well, today i finally listened to one of my lifehouse songs... and realised that out of 140+ songs on my com, only about 10% are english songs! the rest of the 90% are a mix of japanese and korean songs :D haha.

fishface and vivien teo, stop bugging me to listen to farenheit songs. okay i've heard that song kat sent to me and i did not like it firstly because i do not think they can sing very well and the music arrangement does not sound interesting. SORRY. secondly, i find chinese songs a turn-off. it is probably because of the bloody MASS "FACTORY-PRODUCED" singers emerging from taiwan ever so often. there's like 1 new singer every month and they mostly (i said MOSTLY, not ALL) all turn out to be shit. they can't sing properly and just squeak some tunes into the microphone and expect to sell albums. how do you expect me to tahan?

of course, you would say that korean and japanese music artistes are "factory-produced" as well. all i can say is that that generally they have better musical arrangement and they seem to put more feelings into their music. and they can dance better.

i did not and am not saying chinese music is bad. i think what is 'good' and 'bad' differs from person to person. you might think japanese music is shit. fine, i will accept that cos not everyone can appreciate it cos it can get very 'cutesy' sometimes. perhaps i am very picky about putting your emotions into your music cos i have been trained to be like that since i learnt piano.

different kinds of music appeal to different people. to each his/her own.

as for me, I LOVE RAIN AND DBSK AND RYOSUKE AND RIKUTIEEEE heehee i hope he still has pinkish red cheeeeks :D now he should be 13 and in junior high school. i bet a lot of girls like him haha. he let me pinch them once but after that he would turn away from me in this very "ah the jiejie is coming to pinch me again" way and he would look down >.< boohoo.
